Notes

Provincial-level municipal framework for Santa Fe, under the autonomy principle established by Art. 123 of the National Constitution. Ley Orgánica de Municipios (Ley 14.436, sancionada 02 abril 2026, promulgada y publicada en el Boletín Oficial 15 abril 2026) replaced the prior Ley 2.756 Ley Orgánica de Municipalidades de Santa Fe (1939, as amended). The new law has 111 articles organised in 11 titles and 6 chapters; sets a four-year mandate for intendente and concejales with one consecutive re-election; municipalities below 10,000 habitantes have Comisiones Municipales (3 or 5 members), at-or-above 10,000 retain intendente + Concejo Municipal. Sessions are public as a rule, with closed sessions permitted on specific grounds. Proactive online publication of actas is mandated by Ley 12.475 (Acceso a la Información, 2005) + Decreto 692/09 Art. 9 — that framework is unchanged by Ley 14.436. Article-number references in this row's behavioural fields originate from Ley 2.756 and should be re-validated against Ley 14.436 in a follow-up pass.
