Any Landtag member may raise procedural objections and request a chamber ruling. Constitutional challenges to parliamentary acts before the Verfassungsgerichtshof (VfGH).
Enforcement Body
Landtagspräsident enforces procedural rules in session. Constitutional challenges to Landtag procedure before the Verfassungsgerichtshof (VfGH). Members may object under the GO and request rulings from the full chamber.

Language access: Styria has a Slovenian minority in the southern districts. Minority language rights under the Stmk. Landes-Verfassungsgesetz; Landtag sessions conducted in German.

Notes

Styria (Steiermark) is the second-largest Austrian Bundesland. The GeoLT 2005 replaced the previous Stmk. Landtagsgeschäftsordnung 1994. Last amended 2026 (LGBl 29/2026), making it one of the most recently updated Landtag GOs in Austria.
