Special meetings typically require at least 24 hours' notice to council members and the public stating the purpose, time, and place, posted at the municipal office.

Notes

The Municipal Act covers all 8 Yukon municipalities but not the vast majority of Yukon's geography (unincorporated areas administered directly by the territorial government). Self-governing Yukon First Nations operate under their own governance structures and are not subject to the Act.
