Notes
Honduras's Ley de Municipalidades (Decreto 134-90) governs 298 municipios. Arts. 25-31 establish the framework for Corporación Municipal sessions; sessions are public as a rule but public access provisions are limited. Honduras has a 2006 Ley de Transparencia y Acceso a la Información Pública (Decreto 170-2006) covering records. The Instituto de Acceso a la Información Pública (IAIP) is the enforcement body.
