Notes

Act CLXXXIX of 2011 on Local Governments of Hungary (Mötv.) replaced the 1990 local-government act. § 46(1) establishes that képviselő-testület (representative body) meetings are public. § 46(2) enumerates closed session grounds: election/appointment/dismissal of officials, disciplinary matters, protection of personal data by request of the person concerned, and matters declared confidential by law. Agenda and minutes must be posted; meeting notice requirements are set in each municipality's Szervezeti és Működési Szabályzat (SzMSz).
