Notes

Liechtenstein's 11 Gemeinden are governed by the Gemeindegesetz 1996 (LR 141.0). § 43 ff. regulate Gemeinderat (municipal council) meetings. Meetings are generally open; closed sessions may be held for personnel matters, confidential contracts, and matters requiring discretion. The Gemeindevorsteher (mayor) convenes meetings with at least 3 days' notice. Minutes are maintained by the Gemeindeschreiber and are public.
