Notes

The Loi communale governs Luxembourg's 100 communes. Council meetings (séances du conseil communal) are public except where the council decides to sit in huis clos by motivated decision. Notice and convocation are the responsibility of the bourgmestre. Minutes (procès-verbaux) are public. Luxembourg has no intermediate administrative tier between communes and the national government. Trilingual operation (Luxembourgish, French, German) is standard.
