Notes

Trinidad and Tobago's Municipal Corporations Act (Chapter 25:04) governs 14 municipal corporations (9 regional corporations, 2 city corporations, 2 borough corporations, 1 regional assembly). Council meetings are open to the public; closed sessions ('in camera') require a resolution and are limited to specific categories. The Tobago House of Assembly Act covers Tobago separately. The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government supervises compliance.
