Fiscalía Militar de la República de Cuba
Fiscalía Militar
Summary
The Fiscalía Militar (Ley 166/2023) is an organ of the FGR with hierarchical and functional independence, whose scope is expressly limited to the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and the Ministry of the Interior (MININT). Its fundamental mission is to exercise criminal investigative control and public penal action before military courts in both ministries, and to ensure constitutional and legal compliance within FAR and MININT in order to preserve legality, discipline, internal order, and combat readiness. Military prosecutors are designated by the Fiscal General. As with the FGR, no civilian membership is required, the body is subordinated to the President through the Fiscal General, and discipline outcomes flow through military courts rather than the fiscalía directly.
