The Seimo kontrolierių įstaiga (Office of the Seimas Ombudsmen) of Lithuania is established under Art. 73 of the Lithuanian Constitution and the Law on the Seimas Ombudsmen (No. I-1171/1994, 2004 revision). Ombudsmen are appointed by the Seimas for 5-year terms and investigate complaints of abuse of office and bureaucracy by public officials. IOI member.
