Summary
The Kaduna State Anti-Corruption Commission (KADCOM) is established by the Kaduna State Anti-Corruption Commission Law No. 3 of 2016, enacted by the Kaduna State House of Assembly under Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai's public financial management reform programme. KADCOM is a state-level anti-corruption body with investigative and prosecutorial mandates, complementary to but separate from federal EFCC and ICPC. The Chairman is appointed by the Governor, subject to confirmation by the State House of Assembly, for a 4-year term. KADCOM has subpoena power to compel documents and testimony from state officials.
