Summary
The Avokati i Popullit / Ombudspersoni (Ombudsman of Kosovo) is established under Art. 132 of the Kosovo Constitution and Law 05/L-019 of 2015. The Ombudsman is elected by the Assembly for a 5-year term (renewable once) and investigates human rights violations and maladministration by public bodies. Kosovo has partial international recognition (~100 UN members). IOI member.
