Article 16 of Loi N°051-2015/CNT: the responsible official has 20 days to respond to the request. The deadline may be extended by an additional 10 days if the official cannot respond within the initial period, provided the requester is notified before the original deadline expires. If the information is needed to save a life or protect fundamental freedoms, it must be provided without delay. Days are calendar days. Note: the law has not been operationalized as of 2024; the National Authority for Access to Public Information (ANAIP) has not been established.
