Notes

Jordan's Municipalities Law 41/2015 replaced Law 13/2011 and governs municipal councils (مجالس البلديات) across the country's 100 municipalities plus the Greater Amman Municipality. Art. 20 establishes that council sessions are public; the council may close a session by reasoned decision for specific categories. The Ministry of Local Administration supervises compliance; the Audit Bureau audits financial practice. Jordan also has a 2007 Access to Information Law (amended 2014) covering meeting records.
