Cámara de Cuentas de Aragón
Summary
The Cámara de Cuentas de Aragón is the external audit institution (OCEx) of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, established by Law 11/2009 of 30 December and dependent on the Cortes de Aragón. It is composed of three Consejeros, one of whom serves as President, elected by the Cortes de Aragón for six-year terms renewable for equal periods. The President is appointed by the President of the Cortes de Aragón by resolution. The Cámara audits the economic, financial, budgetary, and accounting management of the Aragonese public sector, including local entities. Reports are submitted to the Cortes and made public. The institution began operations in 2010 and operates alongside the national Tribunal de Cuentas with overlapping jurisdiction.
