Summary
The Integrity Commission is established under Cap. 22.18 to receive and examine annual asset declarations from public officials and to investigate allegations of corruption and bribery. The Commissioner of Police, Superintendent of Prisons, and Head of the Armed Forces are explicitly listed as public officials subject to the Act (First Schedule, item 5). The Commission has no jurisdiction over police use-of-force incidents, officer conduct complaints, or corrections conditions; it refers criminal matters to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Its three members must not be current or former public officials or public servants, ensuring full civilian composition.
