Summary
The Nebraska Police Standards Advisory Council (PSAC) is the state POST body established under Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 81-1401 to 81-1414.19. Its nine members are appointed by the Governor to four-year terms; eight must be active law enforcement officers, and one is a public member or Jail Standards Board representative. The council certifies, decertifies, suspends, and fines law enforcement officers; revocation is binding and does not require agency consent. It maintains a public list of decertified officers.
