Summary
The Ombudsman of the Northern Territory is appointed by the Administrator on the advice of the executive to a 5-year term. The office investigates complaints from the public about the administrative actions and decisions of NT Government agencies and public bodies. The Ombudsman has powers to require production of documents and examine witnesses. Annual reports are presented to the Legislative Assembly.
